Willoughby Urban Greening Toolkit
Willoughby Urban Greening Toolkit

Typology: Framework
/Strategy
Country: Cammeragal
Client: Willoughby City Council
Project Description:

Studio Georgouras collaborated with Willoughby City Council to develop the Urban Greening Toolkit — a practical guide designed to help integrate green infrastructure across the city’s built, street and open space environments.

Building on the Council’s successful greening initiatives — from pocket parks and community gardens to living roofs and walls — the toolkit outlines strategies, techniques and products to support a cooler, more resilient and biodiverse Willoughby.

The document translates policy into practice, offering clear guidance for developers, businesses and the community on how to retrofit and green existing urban areas. By focusing on scalable interventions, it aims to reconnect people with nature while improving air quality, mitigating heat, and enhancing local character across the LGA.
