Project Description:

Located on the plains of north-western Sydney were the first areas to experience early wine growing within the country. The Vineyard Hotel was once home to this early wine growing. From its early history of 'playing in the soil' – comes the Vineyard Farmhouse. A playground reimagining play through a landscape shaped by the site’s rural and viticultural heritage.

Designed by Studio Georgouras, the playground offers a bespoke nature play experience that encourages exploration, imagination and connection. Crafted from natural materials and grounded in the region’s agricultural character, the space invites children of all ages to climb, balance and discover at their own pace.

The design integrates shade, misters and seating within a generous garden setting, creating comfort for families year-round. More than a playground, it’s a landscape of play — one that celebrates community, creativity and the everyday joy of being outdoors.
