Project Description:
Studio Georgouras is collaborating with Em Be Ce on the landscape design for a 27-storey mixed-use development in Chatswood — the winning scheme from an invited design excellence competition.
Located at 3–5 Help Street, the project forms a new southern edge to Chatswood’s growing high-density core. The winning proposal sought to reconnect the fragmented square to the west by extending the ground plane through Cambridge Lane, transforming it into a shared pedestrian zone. This gesture is punctuated by a rhythmic boulevard of endemic Cabbage Palms (Livistona australis), creating a distinct streetscape identity and visual continuity through the precinct.
A 575-square-metre elevated garden atop the podium provides residents with a flexible communal park — a space for exercise, work and social connection — while a series of smaller terraces and gardens extend greenery vertically through the tower. At ground level, expanded setbacks and lush planting soften the interface between public and private realms, contributing to a greener, more accessible Chatswood.
